1. Kuromon Ichiba Market - the best shopping spot for food in Osaka

Kuromon Market is located near Namba in Osaka.
Its history dates back to the Edo period, yet more than 100 stores welcome customers with great vitality today.
When it was first established, it was called “Enmyouji Market" but was renamed to “Kuromon Market” because the gate of Enmyouji Temple was black when they renamed the market.
The market was also razed to the ground by air raids during World War II, but during reconstruction, it assumed the role of “Naniwa's kitchen” and quickly regained its former status.

Today, Kuromon Market is not only a market, but is also lined with many restaurants, and the various gourmet dishes that make use of the market's fresh ingredients are highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad.
Recently, in response to the increasing number of foreign tourists, an increasing number of restaurants offer English and Chinese language services.
